Stan Pinsent
Director of Research

Stan is interested in understanding cost-effectiveness through a combination of qualitative research and quantitative modeling. While building a diverse portfolio of research work, he is beginning to introduce distributional models that incorporate uncertainty. At CEARCH, Stan spearheads research and grantmaking in the areas of mental health (link) and longtermism.

A graduate from Oxford with a degree in Mathematics, Stan found his way back into the classroom after university. As a teacher in London, he launched a podcast About Learning, exploring big and controversial ideas in education. His desire to seek more ambitious, evidence-based paths to change led him to CEARCH.
