Charity Incubators

We work closely with Charity Entrepreneurship (link) to incubate new charities working on high-impact ideas.

Grantmakers & HNWIs

We also evaluate existing charities and provide grants to cost-effective projects. We do this through a combination of our own grantmaking, and advising other grantmakers and HNWIs. Broadly speaking, our donor partners fall into two classes.

  • We primarily work with donors aligned with the effective altruism (EA) / evidence-based philanthropy movement. Some of the EA grantmakers who have provided grants per our recommendations, or who have otherwise commissioned and used our research include: Founders Pledge (link), ACX Grants (link), Dory Foundation (link), the Global Health Funding Circle (link), the Flourishing Minds Fund (link), D-Prize (link), and the Meta Charity Funders (link).
  • We also work with some more traditional philanthropists and family foundations in the Asia-Pacific.
  • Between our partners and ourselves, we have moved about USD 1.2 million to high impact causes in the past two years, and we expect to move another 600k in the coming year or so. Note that these figures exclude all grants made where we provided advice but were not the primary grantmakers in question.
